Standing for the first time as a Labour candidate, and in Mapperley ward, generally acknowledged to be completely un-winnable, and yet it had felt different to that. One member had worked very hard on distributing lots of leaflets that had been designed with desk top publishing on a works computer. And Mum made a tissue and sugar paper window banner, for display at the GMB regional headquaerters.
