Most probably published 31st December, 2011.

In December, I returned to full Council for the first time since the by-election, but in a break with tradition, my election was not formally reported and I was not welcomed back. But I’m not bitter about it. No, you’d really have to drag it out of me.

Seriously, in the circumstances it was understandable and I had already placed a question –highlighting the 50th anniversary of the discovery of Ibuprofen in Nottingham and posing questions about whether we were missing opportunities to get some of our young people into jobs as technicians. The question did bring out a bit of a hole in the council’s approach and 2 portfolio holders are going to meet to explore the issue further.
