Went to my dentists this morning. Enough said. Treated by a very kind and polite women who hails from Romania. “Oh, whereabouts?” “Timisoara.” Romania’s second city - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timi%C5%9Foara

Architects and consulting engineers are currently seeking work in the redevelopment of the city, funded in part by the European Union.

I use the dentists in the Meadows, because for 18 years I worked in nearby offices for British Rail.

The offices were an early and a very significant hub in the telecommunications for the railways.

Interesting then to hear that an IT operation have put in plans to redevelop the site, taking advantage of the huge and significant comms connections.

The development aims to provide a kind of fast and high quality data services recently established in Manchester and Leeds.

All this effort to find work for Nottingham, despite the efforts of the Conservative-led government, who have so knocked the confidence out of the recovery that the economy actually shrank in the last quarter.

The previous quarter growth figures of 0.8% growth was a fall, but the Con Dems managed to spin the news in terms of it being better than predictions made 48 hours previously.

Labour said last May that the top priority was "secure economic growth". It was on nearly every leaflet I published.

The Gov't rationale for the economy shrinking is no doubt, "the wrong kind of snow".
