Cuts hurt local ambitions

A meeting of councillors from my ward, and a neighbouring ward, with community reps heard how project after project after project for developments of our neighbourhoods were now in abeyance, following the cuts in capital finances from the Conservative led government.

Noticeably, the local Conservatives usually manage to send someone to observe, but not tonight.

Meanwhile, some of the cuts in revenue spending were discussed, and a public meeting is to be held soon for members of the public to discuss the issues with local Councillors (10th February at 6.30 at the Sherwood Community Centre.
