Chengdu is another huge city by British standards – 3 million.

Famous for its flowers, but more so, its pandas.

Pandas don’t deserve to survive. Here's why -

They’ve survived as a species for 3 million years longer than the norm; they’re solitary and not that sociable with each other; they’ll only eat 7 types of bamboo and only process 20% of what they eat; when they go to drink at a river, they drink too much and come over all drunk and immobile; they’re slow; a new baby is hard to come by and when it arrives, is often premature, is knocked around by new mothers who don’t seem to understand or value what’s arrived.

I don’t understand what people see in pandas.
