Media in a tizzy

The media are still getting themselves in a tizzy over the inevitable discussions and length of discussions between the main parties over who will govern Britain. Marina Hyde made some neat points in her Guardian article - http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2010/may/10/election-adam-boulton-alastair-campbell

It was certainly inevitable that the Lib Dems would talk to Conservatives and Labour, and inevitable that somewhere along the line, someone was going to assert that some talks have taken place that others felt they should have known about.

What might have been expected therefore is that key Conservatives like Rifkind and Portillo would not over-react to such events. But they did.
