Following Cameron’s triple flip on Monday, inability to give a straight answer on Tuesday, withdrawal of a pledge on prison places on Wednesday and controversy over his made up face on Thursday, it's now Nick Clegg's turn to withdraw from pledges used in recent years to criticise the Labour party.
Most noticeably, delaying its long-standing commitment to abolishing university tuition fees.
Nick Clegg promised to treat people like adults, and was angry about the useless of meaningless slogans.
Clegg's statement today "Fairness means opportunity is for everyone." does not count cos it has meaning, it's just as BBC Daily Politics pointed out, the grammar is so poor as to make it hard to discern what the meaning is.
And as Dave Hill points out, the closeness of the general election, is bringing scrutiny to the Lib Dems and the Tories at last.
