27th – David Miliband cites the work of the Nottingham Declaration on climate change;
26th – brief Nottingham Labour party on progress on climate change work;
26th – Tony Blair's final speech to party conference;
23rd – saw the South Shropshire Biowaste Anaerobic Digester at Ludlow; take food waste, bio-digestable plastic bags and toilet rolls; shred, soak, put in a tank which already has rotting material and you get gas to burn, pasteurised compost and more bacteria ready to rot down the next load;
22nd – Al Gore's movie on climate change, "An Inconvenient Truth", starts showing at the Broadway (showing for fourteen days) & the Cornerhouse;pledge to act; first showing includes a discussion with the audience and Alan Simpson MP & myself;
22nd – present progress on climate change work to Nottingham Health & Environment Partnership (HEP);
21st – Coroner reports findings on latest fatal accident on The Wells Road; speed was the major factor;
21st – attend a European cities conference on diversity, inclusion and integration, in Brussels (UrbAct : Udiex - Alep);
20th – meet Glenis Willmott, Labour MEP for the East Midlands at the European Parliament in Brussels; Glenis had been on TV describing work to stop overcharging for foreign calls on mobile phones by telecoms companies;
19th – Mapperley & Sherwood Area Committee – customer satisfaction with street cleanliness up to 95%;
19th – Executive Board – approve plans for further renewal of city’s secondary schools; plan to improve council’s telephone answering and contact services;
18th – visit Eastcroft incinerator;
18th – meet Business Council for Sustainable Development to explore projects for more renewable energy;
15th – Nottingham key stage 3 results - results from City Council’s schools appear to be the 18th most-improved LEA; English remains at 57%; Maths - up from 59% reaching level 5 to 65%; Science - up from 52% to 56%;
14th – launch the second phase of Digital Nottingham, hoping to win Digital Challenge out of the last 10 contestants in January;

13th – Mapperley branch Labour Party hears about progress by NCT;
13th – Nottingham City Council wins the East Midlands in Bloom awards, winning the Royal Horticultural Society Gold Award; the city was also celebrated with a special award for biodiversity;
13th – arrange for sign to Mapperley Hall Gardens to be replaced;
11th – Full Council, including debate on community safety;
5th-6th – National Energy Action conference; speak on Nottingham's progress on tackling fuel poverty; also, new notes on energy saving schemes available to tenants and landlords;
3rd – Elliott Durham inset day; thank staff for helping pupils achieve their best ever results;
