26th - Nottingham ALMO ballot ends; 76% in favour on a 40% turnout;
26th – Full Council - debate on capping / re-billing and the health service;
23rd – East Midlands Regional Assembly;
21st - Lithuanian National Opera perform "Don Giovanni" at the Royal Centre;
20th - Mapperley and Sherwood Area Committee; £750k of extra investment in local projects confirmed (using Neighbourhood Renewal Funds); and Local Transport Plan allocations - money for Mansfield Road reconstruction between Gregory Boulevard and Magdala Road junction exceeds sum of money available for road repairs for the whole city in 1996/97;
20th – Executive Board - agree next stages for redevelopment of Leisure Centres, including next steps towards the Mapperley Sports Village;
20th - John Prescott confirms that at least £133m of the £165m bid for housing investment via the ALMO is guaranteed, with the rest to be decided in September; countering claims of those who've said there would be no money available;
19th - Parliament debates capping order requiring Nottingham City Council to re-bill;
13th - NET Development Board; NET carries on average 23,000 passengers on a weekday; over 500,000 a month; and are set to run more services in September;

6th - 9th - LGA conference; Gov't announce Nott'm is to be required to re-bill on 8th July, requiring £250,000 of Council taxpayers' money to be lost on the re-billing process;
