Mapperley Forum attracts over 60 people

The Mapperley Forum attracted over 60 people to hear presentations on Elliott Durham school and ask questions of their Councillors.

Rob Boothroyd announced that the latest Key Stage 3 SATs results for Maths showed 8% more of this year's Year 9 pupils reached level 5 or higher, compared to last year's Year 9.

Concerns on road safety were again to the fore; the City Council's traffic mgmt. officer has now stated that it is a matter of when Mapperley Rise is traffic calmed, rather than if.

Questions from the public were certainly vigourous.

This six-monthly meetings offer local residents the chance to ask questions of your local Councillors, or City Council officers, on matters of local concern; as well as to receive presentations on the Council's work.

The meeting was at St.Judes Church Hall on Woodborough Road.

The presentations were on Education.
